Landscape Ecology (21496) – MSc Spatial Planning, University of Palermo. An introduction to landscapes as ecological systems shaped by natural processes and human activities. Topics include bioclimate, substrate and soil, flora and vegetation, vegetation series and potential natural vegetation, geobotanical mapping in GIS (QGIS), hierarchical land classification, fragmentation, ecological networks, green infrastructure and landscape naturalness (ILC, NEI), with applications to spatial and landscape planning.
